We background and custom-feed cattle in a low-stress environment on rations we grow ourselves. If you need weight put on calves or capacity you can trust, we have pens, feed and people who do this every day.
Backgrounding
Backgrounding is where a bad program shows up fastest. We receive, start and grow cattle on a consistent ration with room to move, which keeps intake steady and pull rates down. You get regular reporting on gain and health, not a black box.
Herd care
We raise cattle in a low-stress environment — from how they're handled to how they're housed. Calmer animals eat better, get sick less and convert more efficiently. That's not sentiment; it's the reason our program works.
Custom feeding
Cattle in our care are fed a balanced ration grown and mixed right here on the farm in Hooker, Oklahoma. The blend typically includes corn, oats, alfalfa, sorghum silage and molasses, which gives consistent nutrition year-round and supports healthy digestion.
Because we grow what we feed, we control quality from the field to the bunk — and we can hold a ration steady through a year when purchased feed swings.
